Extremely funny and disturbing article in the Post about a government food giveaway program that is facing a reduction in funding due to lack of interest by the public. The funny part is how desperate the bureaucrats are.

So the implication is that in the past “public” assistance was reserved for the destitute unlike now where it is also for those who don’t actually need it. This is not a cheap program the article sites the cost at 107.2 million spent on those who are not destitute even by the program directors standards.
