Police waste time and money trying to monitor "sex offenders" web surfing
For three days each month, dozens of sex offenders parade into the Centennial probation office lugging their computers.
Have they traveled online to social sites like MySpace and Facebook trolling for victims? Have they been to XXXTeens or Match.com? Nickelodeon or Toys "R" Us? Have they chatted with other pedophiles or sexual offenders?

This is just a stupid program. They ask sex offenders to bring in their computers once a month for inspection to see if they have been visiting myspace. There is no way to ever know if the computers these “sex offenders” are bringing into the probation office are the only ones they use. Even if they are honest and bring in every computer they use, there is no way of verifying if this program has actually made any reduction in sex offenses. I say this is a waste of time and money. If these guys are so dangerous that viewing the toys-r-us web site will drive them to rape a child, then why are they not in prison? If we are going to have more people in prison than any other country in the world, shouldn’t we at least get those who are truly a danger to society into those prisons? And I would say that a child rapist who is so on the verge of relapse that a child oriented web page will trigger an assault is a danger to society. If that is not the case here and these people are relatively harmless, then what is the point in tracking their internet usage? If a web page can put these guys over the edge, what about the Disney channel on TV?
