Colorado voters this fall will be asked to approve about $2.5 billion in school bonds at a time when the economy is weak and tax increases are being used as a wedge issue in the presidential campaign.
School officials justify the requests — despite the uncertainty of success — because the need to fix crumbling schools is so great.

The bureaucrats have admitted to letting these schools fall into disrepair for years and years and now they want to be rewarded for this behavior with more money. Government is the only institution where the employees brag about how poor of a job they have been doing and expect a pay raise because of it.
We need a separation of school and state and we need it as soon as possible.
