The guys from the Motor Home diaries were arrested today. In case you are unaware of who these guys are, they are activists primarily known for working with Bureaucrash who left Washington DC in an RV to Drive around the country to promote liberty and libertarian ideals. They were in Denver during the Denver Tea Party and met a bunch of local libertarians, both at the tea party and at liberty on the rocks. The free Keene blog has the details, as Pete and Jason recently moved to Keene New Hampshire for the free-state project.
Here are the charges:
Adam Mueller - Disorderly Conduct and Disobeying an Officer
Pete Eyre - Possession of a Beer in a Dry County
Jason Talley - Disorderly Conduct, Disobeying, and Resisting Arrest
Free Keene is probably the best place to track the progress of the case, until these guys are released and then I am sure they will tell all about it on the MHD website. In the meantime I wish them well.
One of them is facing a weapons charge too. Sounds very much like another case of the cops overreacting.
