The number of parking tickets written in Denver is on pace to hit near-record levels for Mayor John Hickenlooper's administration, with particular hot spots in neighborhood enclaves scattered throughout the city.
Denver officials said the increase is not an attempt to plug the city's sizable budget gap.

Yeah right it is not about revenue.
I can’t speak for others, but I moved out of Capitol Hill and to a suburb mostly because of the parking situation. I cannot believe that so many people are willing to put up with it. I am not talking about going downtown and getting a ticket, I am talking about the bureaucrats ticketing you for parking in front of your home, after getting many tickets I moved away and haven’t gotten a ticket since, of course the property taxes, sales taxes, and other revenue for the city I was forced to pay left with me.
