"Stimulus" not really stimulating much, except perhaps the pocket books of the politically connected

With the economy showing some slight signs of life, liberal pundits are crowing that the Obama administration’s stimulus package is working. Yet anyone who believes that — as one Internet joke has put it — filling up buckets of water from the deep end of the pool and pouring them into the shallow end will ultimately raise the overall water level betrays a perilously limited understanding of economics.

All of this borrowing in an effort to "stimulate" the economy is not only counterproductive, it is also guaranteeing that future generations will be strapped with higher taxes than what we even pay. Even if you don't care about yourself and how much you pay in taxes, do you really want your kids to live in a world where what you pay now looks rather low? Do you dream about your kids future? Do those dreams include them paying 75% of their income in some sort of tax?
