I came home from work and opened http://www.completecolorado.com/ to see what the news is today and it seems that a lot of tax increases on yesterdays ballot were voted down and the marijuana decrim bill in Breckenridge passed. This is great news. Thank you voters for defending everyone from higher taxes and more intrusive government.
AURORA — A property-tax hike that would stave off closing four of the seven libraries in the city was failing Tuesday night.
With a majority of the votes counted, ballot measure 4A was going down 54 percent to 46 percent.

Rattled by an economic downturn and skeptical of the dire predictions emanating from City Hall, Colorado Springs voters overwhelmingly rejected a proposal to raise property taxes to stave off myriad cuts in city services next year.
Measure 2C, which would have tripled the city’s property tax rate, went down in flames Tuesday, losing by a margin of nearly 2-to-1, according to unofficial results.

Denver voters Tuesday soundly defeated a ballot initiative that would have significantly restricted police discretion on whether to impound cars driven by unlicensed drivers.
People have had enough with high taxes. Great to see they are voting "enough".
