Colorado recently joined 27 other states and the District of Columbia in banning texting while driving. But since the ban went into effect a month ago, police haven't issued a single citation.
While it is good that the cops are not writing tickets for this left and right, but then when are they going to start writing tickets for driving while texting? I think it will be when they need an excuse to pull someone over for no apparent reason. They can claim that they believed the person they pulled over had a cell phone in their hand and was texting, even if a ticket was never written it doesn't mean that the stop was even justified.
If you don't read the reason blog everyday, you should because they often find news items that would otherwise be missed.
