A Denver police officer who is accused of repeatedly slamming the face of a 57-year-old man into the pavement near Coors Field was formally charged Friday with second-degree assault.
The police assaulted this guy for riding his bike across the street against a red light. The cop was not in uniform, and really had no business being where he was when the assault took place.
The cop was trying to resell tickets in a "sting". Ticket reselling is a non-crime and it is hard to justify using police resources to run a sting for ticket reselling in the first place.
