Are the Medical Marijuana Dispensaries hot beds of crime? No but the police and media spread false information to give people that impression

The headline read “Robber Sticks Up Pot Shop, Leaves Weed Behind.", the problem is that it was not true. I read that article, and immediately I had my suspicions because it described the suspect as “6 foot tall, 200 pounds”, no further description. So Westword has a detailed article about what really happened, and it is not all that dramatic.

I've been afraid of this--that the media and police are running a smear campaign against medical marijuana, to provoke the state into regulating it further or to just give up and ban it altogether again.
