by Dr. John Hospers
In these precarious times, with the future of freedom, liberty and America herself hanging in the balance by the barest of threads held in the hands of self-serving enemies and traitors of this nation – I hear the voice of hope, and that of a patriot in the person of Wayne Allyn Root.
My steady support for Mr. Root’s political positions and ambitions are reinforced each time I hear him speak or read his commentaries, editorials and writings. Root’s words ring with truth, reflecting the values of libertarianism the political philosophy, as well as the well-defined original Libertarian Party principles, of which I am proud to say I helped craft long ago.

This guy Root looks to be a little too right leaning for my taste. I understand the need to maintain national security, but some of waht he says about national defense smacks alarmingly of republican rhetoric, and he sounds like everyone else in DC as far as immigration reform is concerned.

Root might become a catalyst for change in our country someday. He can be considered a good leader which can be seen from the commentaries and editorials he has written.

Root is one reason I stopped supporting the LP. He is a conservative who doesn't understand libertarianism and comes across like some Used car man, without any of the virtues.
Poor Hospers seems to have gone off his rocker. He has taken bizarre unlibertarian positions of late and has morphed into a conservative. Just consider his pro war stands. No wonder he likes Root.

CLS, I have to agree. Root would not be my choice, he is far to statist in my eyes. Luckily for readers of this blog, I am not the only one who posts here and sometimes a post pops up that expresses a viewpoint different from mine and that is probably a good thing.
